About the Role
RPM Edwardstown, as part of The AMA Group have an exciting opportunity for an experienced qualified Mechanic / Stripper – Fitter to undertake quality workmanship to ensure vehicles are returned to their pre-accident condition.
Reporting to the Centre Manager this role will work within a positive team environment and you will be provided with stability and training as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair general mechanical faults
- Advise on what parts are required for repairs
- Quality control and inspection of vehicles
- Test driving of vehicles Ensure all vehicles meet the quality repair standards
- Dismantle and fit new mechanical parts, suspension, engines, exhausts, etc.
- Dismantle and fit new body parts at times
- Carry out system updates to diagnostic computers and wheel alignment computers when necessary
- Check new parts are correct and not damaged
- Perform any adaptations based on completed diagnoses
- Clean workbay and workshop areas
- Remove & re-fit body panels, bumber bars and parts. Training shall be provided.
- This position requires no car servicing

- Previous experience in a Mechanic role
- Strong commitment to work in a safe manner
- High attention to detail Able to work effectively and collaboratively with the team
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Be reliable, punctual & hardworking
