About the Role

RPM Edwardstown, as part of The AMA Group have an exciting opportunity for an experienced qualified Mechanic / Stripper – Fitter to undertake quality workmanship to ensure vehicles are returned to their pre-accident condition.

Reporting to the Centre Manager this role will work within a positive team environment and you will be provided with stability and training as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair general mechanical faults
  • Advise on what parts are required for repairs
  • Quality control and inspection of vehicles
  • Test driving of vehicles Ensure all vehicles meet the quality repair standards
  • Dismantle and fit new mechanical parts, suspension, engines, exhausts, etc.
  • Dismantle and fit new body parts at times
  • Carry out system updates to diagnostic computers and wheel alignment computers when necessary
  • Check new parts are correct and not damaged
  • Perform any adaptations based on completed diagnoses
  • Clean workbay and workshop areas
  • Remove & re-fit body panels, bumber bars and parts. Training shall be provided.
  • This position requires no car servicing

  • Previous experience in a Mechanic role
  • Strong commitment to work in a safe manner
  • High attention to detail Able to work effectively and collaboratively with the team
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Be reliable, punctual & hardworking
